Business Administration-Management

Today's businesses seek bright, aggressive managers in a variety of business fields. Managers and supervisors today must have the ability to communicate and motivate employees in a changing work environment. In addition, tomorrow's manager must have the technical expertise and financial skills necessary to make decisions in a dynamic shifting economy. The McCormick Division of Business provides students with a broad exposure to a variety of courses to help prepare for future management positions. The required Professional Core provides the student with a firm foundation in the areas of business and management. Students then select from a variety of management courses to match their individual career goals.

In Fall 2004, The Graduate College of Union University in Schenectady, New York, established an agreement with Southern Vermont College which would allow qualified SVC students and graduates to complete an MBA degree in one additional year from their undergraduate program. The MBA program will prepare students for analytical, managerial, and executive-level positions. Presently, SVC has articulation agreements with Adirondack Community College, Berkshire Community College, Community College of Vermont, Hudson Valley Community College, and Schenectady County Community College.
