COSMETOLOGY

Students will be prepared to apply for the State Board of Hairdressing written and practical examination upon completion of this program.

The curriculum will consist of shampooing, scalp treatment, manicuring, facial massage, hair analysis, hair styling, finger waving, precision hair cutting, hair coloring, chemical hair relaxing, thermal waving, curling and blow drying.

Instruction will include sterilization, sanitation and the use of electrical apparatus as it applies to the field of hairdressing.

Upon completion of 250 hours students will ­perform supervised work on customers in the school’s salon.

 The Cosmetology program at the Blue Hills Regional Technical School is the largest, up-to-date facility in the area and each student has their own individualized work area.
